This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 06, 2007:
This makes me smile!
When I look back I was a bit like Hilary Clinton : you like me or you don't.
Being strong as a woman is often seen as something else.
Yes, it hurt me, yes I didn' t understand.
Until I realised I could only be as much as possible my autentic self : what you see is what you get.
I allways ask myself if the criticism is founded or not. If so I'ill work on it. f not, the problem is not mine, realising you can not please everybody. I have to have the freedom to be me.
I try to be mild with myself and with others. Even on points of criticism.
Love gave me mildness in live and trough that much more joy
Many so called friends disappeared over the years. Few stayed. Because they understood and could wait until i began to see myself my authentic self.

I think you've captured the essence of this. “I try to be mild with myself and with others.” A lot of people have the attitude - like it or not, here I am - I don't care what others think of me. But, while we shouldn't blow all over the place in the wind of others' opinions, we have to be “mild” as you put it. We an be authentic without coming on too strong. I really liked this post a lot.
